Known as "Andy" to many, Andrico Goosen is a versatile and multi-disciplinary artist with a robust portfolio in theatre, film, and television. While celebrated for his achievements as a puppet designer, builder, and manipulator - earning multiple nominations for Best Theatre Design - his talents extend far beyond the stage.
In the realms of film and television, Andrico specializes as a Set Decorator and Set Dresser, where his keen eye for detail and creativity breathe life into narratives. His passion for visual storytelling drives him to craft immersive environments that resonate with audiences, making each project a unique artistic expression.
As he explores his role as an Art Director, Andrico is committed to contributing to the aesthetic vision of productions. His dedication to his craft has led him to participate in notable projects, including local South African content, where he consistently strives for excellence.
In addition to his design work, Andrico is an emerging writer actively pursuing this new creative avenue. He recently co-produced the podcast series The Story Animal and is involved in developing the documentary feature film We Remain Flower Children, as well as a children’s theatre production, Blomme vir Jupiter. His versatility was recognized in 2024 when he received a nomination for a SAFTA for Best Screenplay, underscoring his commitment to storytelling in all its forms.
